Friday's student-led Charity Day increased the total amount raised to a whopping £680, with funds being used to sponsor a child in Burundi. 

The initial target of £180 - enough to sponsor Ange-Marie (DS Winchester's very own sponsored child) for one year - was smashed, and this is testament to the hard work of the students and staff involved. Stalls included Fortune Telling, Nail- (and Face-) painting, Twister, ‘Beat the Goalie’, ‘Wish upon a Balloon’, Soak the Activity Leader (very popular) and 'tattoo' body art...using eye-liner! Roses, Krispy Kreme doughnuts and some exquisite jewellery made by students in their Fashion Minor (see below) were all sold to help the cause. Congratulations go to the Charity Committee for hosting a marvellous event.
