Business Plans for the Future

Week 3 Business Studies students gained a grasp of the economics principles underlying business and of the essentials of a productive business, considering all its aspects.  They then used this knowledge creatively in thinking of possible new businesses.

The key part of the final task is to produce a business plan.  This shows potential investors a business idea and also shows that the entrepreneur has the skills to be aware of and to manage all the aspects of a business.  Without a complete set of skills and analysis of all aspects, the new business is likely to fail, and without a good, and specific, core idea there is really no business in the first place.

Here are the front pages of some of the business plans that students produced and presented to their potential investors (their friends and teachers!):

If these work out, Discovery students will soon be appearing next to Alan Sugar.
