Web Design Week 3

This week’s web design consisted of a variety of students from total beginners to more experienced students. Those who had already had prior experience of web programming however, had not used Dreamweaver before therefore they were also introduced to a new skill.

We studied HTML, CSS and Java script and analysed the difference between working in programming language as opposed to working in Dreamweaver. The combination of the two is an ideal way to work on web design therefore beginner and advanced students all acquired new skills that have enabled them to produce a stunning set of web sites.

Students were encouraged to think creatively and work on their ideas and plan, plan, plan on paper, the value of which is apparent when transforming these ideas into code and Dreamweaver. The paper plans continued to be amended throughout the course in order for the group to achieve visualising their ideas as finished designs.
