The Crooked Girl By Diane De La Forest Divonne

In England, during the reign of Queen Victoria, a little girl from the aristocracy was killed. She was found in the forest near London. Her body was covered with blood. Lord Mepheistos decided to investigate with his friends Lady Theodora and Lord Peter. -Poor little girl, said Theodora when she saw the corpse. -She was Lady Alicia, her family was that of the Count's, said Mepheistos. -The Count? Winchester in Summer

Our Beautiful Campus Winchester is looking wonderful this summer, and our campus is an inspiring place to learn and make new friends. Some of the buildings we use have been here for more than 600 years - including the hall in which we eat. It is amazing to think of the illustrious figures throughout history who have walked the same cobbles, sat on the same benches and played sport on the same fields.

Crazy Croquet!

Thursday Afternoon Activities This afternoon, sixteen of our students learnt the game of croquet, an English game which dates back to the mid-19th century, and has been played on the lawns of English country houses ever since. It involves striking heavy-weighted balls with a mallet, which is swung between the legs, and the object is to manoeuvre your ball through a series of hoops in fewer shots than the other teams. The flat lawns of Winchester and sunny weather provided the perfect setting for an afternoon game.
