Bath Excursion
The historic town of Bath was the location for this weekend's excursion. Bath has a rich history, having been an important settlement during the Roman occupation, and was also used as a setting for novels by Jane Austen (Northanger Abbey and Persuasion) and Charles Dickens (Pickwick Papers). Our visit allowed students to take in both the old and the new, starting with a tour of the Roman Baths:
Students then visited the Royal Crescent, sometimes described as the finest example of Georgian architecture.
Students really enjoyed getting to know the city, much of which is built from 'Bath Stone', a local limestone.
