Bristol Excursion
Bristol, one of England's most vibrant and diverse cities, played host to our excursion yesterday. Bristol is famous for its street art, and a group of our students were given an in-depth tour of some of Bristol's most famous graffiti hotspots. They learnt the difference between murals, graffiti and tags, and saw work by Bristol's most famous street artist - Banksy.
Another group of our students got the chance to visit Bristol
University. They were given a presentation in the beautiful Wills Memorial
building. They learnt about ‘What it is like to study at Bristol University’
and ‘Life in Bristol’. The students had the opportunity to ask any questions
they had on applying to university in the UK and student life in the UK. After
the presentation the students were taken on a tour of the Bristol University
campus, led by a student ambassador. They saw all of the different faculties
including the famous Victoria Rooms which house Bristol’s music department. The
student ambassador gave the students more information on the huge variety of
clubs and societies Bristol had to offer.
