Crazy Croquet!

Thursday Afternoon Activities
This afternoon, sixteen of our students learnt the game of croquet, an English game which dates back to the mid-19th century, and has been played on the lawns of English country houses ever since. It involves striking heavy-weighted balls with a mallet, which is swung between the legs, and the object is to manoeuvre your ball through a series of hoops in fewer shots than the other teams. The flat lawns of Winchester and sunny weather provided the perfect setting for an afternoon game.
