The Dreaming Spires

Excursion to Oxford
Today our students went to Oxford on an excursion. On arrival, some of our students hopped into boats and went punting down Oxford's historic waterways. We took in the beautiful scenery and historic university buildings whilst being chauffeured downstream.
Meanwhile, a group of students visited the local BMW Mini plant. They saw the process of producing Mini cars from start to finish, learning about production lines, engineering and the manufacturing process. A particular highlight was a production room with 1200 specialised robots!
Afterwards there was a chance to explore Magdalen College, one of Oxford University's most prestigious colleges. The college was founded in the 15th century and has educated illustrious figures such as Oscar Wilde, John Betjeman and A.C. Grayling.
A short walk along the beautiful High Street was followed by free time, giving students a chance to explore the sights and sounds of England's oldest university town.
