The fashionistas of week 1! [Major Classes]

This weeks fashion major class has been extremely busy!

There weekly tasks are the following:

• To learn the English names for all things related to Fashion (such as denim, cotton jersey, collar, jumpsuit, unpicker, elastic, etc!)
• To understand past and current trends
• To develop ideas from their chosen trends to come up with key ideas for outfits
• To take a class trip into Winchester, purchasing second hand garments from charity shops
• To re-design and re-make the garments/items purchased to display at the fashion show on the Sunday afternoon! (Each group will have 2 outfits to show)

Group 1

Theme : Dresses

As there is one male in the group, one outfit will be produced to a different theme.

Theme: floral

Purchased:

A pair of floral pillowcases

1 white belt

1 floral skirt

Group 3

Theme: Hippie

Purchased:

2 Tie-dye tops

1 Floral skirt

Group 4

Theme: Sailor

Purchased:

1 Pair of navy shorts

1 Striped top

1 White strapless top

1 Striped jumper

The students will now be working towards ideas how they can express their chosen themes throughout their projects, using various materials, techniques and processes!
