Digital Photography days two and three were dedicated to a techincal workshop about apertures. We have visited the ruins of the castle and a near by river to find interesting things to photograph. We were able to use flowers and plants to practice the different techinques available when working with apertures manually. We have photographed people using large apertures so that the background is out of focus, drawing attention to the person in the shot. We have also considered portrait lighting and found that the best lighting for people is even and natural. We have all had our portaits taken and created some pleasing results.
