Web Design

Introduction to web design  has enabled all the students to visualise their web design ideas and grasp the basic skills needed to design websites using Dreamweaver and code. All 15 students achieved this and created the following website front pages with active buttons that led to subpages, an excellent result for this highly demanding course both technically and linguistically.  Well done Web Students!

The mission for the class was to build a personal website in a week. During the week thought about:

1: Creative web design and how to choose a theme the website. We first designed our websites on paper which is extremely important for web design

 

2: Sourced content for the website and understood how to organise website folders and content.

 

3: Working with Dreamweaver we used the class template files explore the software. We then planned how to customise the class template for our own designs.

4: Introduction to HTML, the language of the internet.

5: Introduction to CSS, the way to style websites and make them look cool!

 

6: We learnt how to make subpages for the website.

 

7: We learnt how to link the pages together.

 

8: We understood uploading websites to the internet.
