Friday's Multi-Activities

Fun in the Sun!

Winchester was bathed in glorious sunshine today for our final multi-activities session. It was amazing to see how much energy students still have and how willing they still are to acquire new skills! For instance, most students had not played tag rugby before, but were soon passing and catching with confidence:

Other students were given a fascinating workshop on tying different types of knot. Many of our students can now tell the difference between a bowline and a clove hitch!
Others were taken through a debating workshop by one of our activity leaders, a politics student herself. Some of the big issues of the day, from democracy to nuclear disarmament, were debated - a great session for expanding technical vocabulary!
Finally, some students got stuck into a session of interactive art. This involves planning and creating an image which can be photographed as an extension of one's body. Some fascinating results!
