Portsmouth Excursion
Portsmouth was the location for our half-day excursion this week. Portsmouth is a city on the south coast of England and is famous for its naval heritage, playing host to both the oldest dry dock still in use and famous British ships such as the Tudor Mary Rose and Nelson's flagship HMS Victory.
Students visited both the National Museum of the Royal Navy and HMS Victory. It was extraordinary how cramped life must have been for sailors aboard and the trip provided our students with a real insight into how different warfare was two centuries ago.
