High Thinking and Sport

Friday's Sports and Team-Building Activities
Friday was another gloriously sunny day, and students enjoyed a range of activities in the afternoon. One group combined a typical English tea party with a philosophy seminar. Students considered such questions as 'can animals think?' or 'does logic exist without sensory experience?'. It was amazing to see our students so confident in expressing complex ideas and theories in English.
Another group was getting to grips with rounders, a British game rather like baseball, but with a smaller bat and underarm pitch. All participants improved their striking, bowling and fielding skills in a hard-fought match.
